Better team defense... Carolina or Philly

I hope this is your last round draft pick.... Otherwise I have to ask:

Why are you wasting a decent draft pick on a defense?

In my scoring system, which is a commonly used one, Philly was the 7th ranked and Carolina the 14th ranked D last year. Both were top 5 ranked Ds going into last year. Both will be top 5 ranked Ds going into this year.

Perfect example of why you never spend even a 10th round pick on a defense.
