The only way to make McNair last is to go back to a strong running game. With 2 backs, that according to Fisher are going to be RBBC, how could you imagine not running alot this year? We have NO SHOT at play-offs. Why would you risk hurting your QB when you are very familiar with the smashmouth football run game? : http://tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050720/SPORTS01/507200396/1328/SPORTS

Ben, the point is not that they won't run alot. The point is that it won't be like it was in 99 and 00 when they won every game by 3 points and barely threw the ball.

Of course the Titans will run the ball alot. But they also will spread the field and pass alot too. Chow's offense pride's itself on getting the ball out of the qb's hands, quickly.

It's called offensive balance. The "Fisherball" mentality of 3 years ago is over and done with.

And what's the point of keeping McNair healthy by running all the time? If all he's going to be doing is handing the ball off 75-80 percent of the time, than it doesn't really matter.

Well that's your opinion. But I'd rather have a proven rb than a 3rd round pick that has less than a 50% chance of being a good player.
