Good year to have an early pick, like usual. At the #2 slot this year, I'm looking at:

1.02 - Priest Holmes/Shaun Alexander (your preference)
2.nd - Tatum Bell/Terrell Owens/Marvin Harrison/Chad Johnson/Torry Holt
3.02 - Tatum Bell/Terrell Owens/Marvin Harrison/Chad Johnson/Torry Holt
4th - Best available RB/Warrick Dunn/Kevan Barlow/Carnell Williams
5.02 - Best RB if you went WR/WR in 2nd/3rd or Larry Johnson
6th - Donald Driver or Best RB
7.02 - Alge Crumpler/Jeremy Shockey/Todd Heap
8th - Jake Plummer/Aaron Brooks
------
After 8 rounds you're something like:

QB-
Jake Plummer (8.09)

RB-
Priest Holmes (1.02)
Tatum Bell (2.11)
Warrick Dunn (4.09)
Larry Johnson (5.02)

WR-
Chad Johnson (3.02)
Donald Driver (6.09)

TE-
Jeremy Shockey (7.02)

Obviously your draft is not going to work out exactly like that, but I could easily see you assembling a similar roster. Possibly even better if certain players fall (for instance Ahman Green falls to you in the late 2nd perhaps).

This comes down to the same argument of whether or not to draft Peyton early because of the 6pts per passing TD.

With the second pick, I agree you must go RB. If you want low risk, go SA. If you want higher risk but HUGE potential, go Priest. I'd probably go Priest.

I would then go either RB or WR next, whoever is the best player available, then take the other position on the way back in the 3rd.

DON'T take Peyton at your spot; it will kill your RB position.

See the other posts regarding Peyton in the 1st round for more advice.

I would seriously go for manning with that pick. THOSE SETTING AR E AMAZING FOR QB"S. I doesn't matter if your RB's are Tatum Bell and Lamont Jordan in that league if you have Manning. I would try to snag westbrook with your 2nd or 3rd pick, but if you draft Manning, be prepared to get 2 RB's in the 2nd and 3rd round.

with 6pts per td, and only taking 20yrds for a passing pt, manning has to be the num 1 selection, and just grab the next two best backs with your next two picks -- you could get lucky and get L Jordan and B Westbrook or teh like, of course Id expect manning to go num 1 overall, which leaves you with LT

As for my next two picks, (if you LT), then I take the best WR and best RB available on my list -- if only one of TO, Moss, or Holt is there, then take him in rd 2, otherwise grab the back

(I wouldnt be so sure to make bell my num 2 guy though till the den situation is resolved)
