The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly intensifying the pursuit of free agent 30-year old linebacker Peter Boulware in recent days, looking to sign the four-time Pro Bowl participant to a salary-cap friendly compensation package.

Physical therapist Lisa Kearns is helping free agent CB Ty Law rehab from his ankle injury and prepare for the 2005 season. Both she and free agent QB Tim Couch, who is working out with Kearns and Law, said that Law is looking good and close to returning to form. One of his potential destinations, the Kansas City Chiefs, said they would not offer Law a deal until they were sure he was well.

I don't think it's that teams aren't offering cheap contracts. The players probably feel they are worth more than the contracts they are being offered.
