Auction sites? Paying for it?

Postby 011472 » Sun Jul 24, 2005 10:14 am

I'm not entirely new to fantasy football; this will be my third season in a league that has evolved into a twelve team auction league with 3 keepers.

This is the first year I've had a modern computer at my hands for the summer and I'm overwhelmed with all of the content online. I won't be buying anymore magazines and I'm interested in buying someone's draft guide/season membership but there's so many to browse through.

What site would you recommend for value and content in terms of auction prep and regular season data?

Also, does anyone know of sites that have mock auctions or more auction-related content? I see lots on snake drafts rankings but less on auction values/strategies.

Thanks.

Because my league is on sportsline I pay for it and get all the content that that site provides, but in reallity there's still no need to pay for fantasy info. This site doesnt charge, nor does yahoo, nfl.com, or a slew of others you can find on-line. Also, many of the pay sites do provide plently of free (and some actually good) articles throughout the season like sportingnews and si.com for examples. If you're a football fan, ie, know the players and how good certain teams are and so forth, then there's no need to pay for info.

For mock auctions try http://www.fantasyauctioneer.com/

Good practice for auction drafts and also has some auction articles.

Try this Google search too.
