Deuce to be 2nd highest paid RB

Deuce McAllister reportedly will sign a contract extension shortly that will make him the second highest paid running back in the NFL.

It looks like it's only a matter of time now, and the deal could come this afternoon. Deuce will get a chance to top 2,000 total yards this year with an improved offensive line and a re-committment to the running game in New Orleans. Jul. 28 - 2:01 pm et

New offense thats dumbed down (read as Brooks doesnt make as many mistakes )
More of a focus on the running game

All the pieces are there, Deuce just needs to do it.

Yea, I think Jamal is the best pure RB in the league. He is as big and strong as you would want a feature back to be, but he is also fast. If he had receiving skills I would probably rank him on par with LT.

i think edge has lost a step. He just isn't the player he was before the knee injury. Jamal just tears defenses apart. I have to agree that jamal is better than edge at this point.
