Excel Spreadsheets?

for instance saving the Macro, I had to save it as a whole file, so like the file type was a 'Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook' which I think is fine but not sure.

I have not actually used the new version only the new VSTO. But of what I know that should be fine. VBA is no longer the primary code-behind in '07 and I believe it does that just to differentiate.

And I made the short-Cut key Z, however when I go to use it, it gives me the error "You must have exactly two areas to swap. You have 1 areas." I'm not sure what I did wrong.

The error is from the macro itself. You can actually see that text in the macro if you look above. Anyway, here it is in a nutshell: you need to select complete 'areas'. If you want to swap two rows you have to select the entire two rows. If you select three rows or partial rows you will get that error.

Does anyone know of a way on yahoo to import more than 25 players at a time with stats? I can import the entire draft list at one time, but it doesn't include stats.

Record the web query as a macro then adjust it so that it runs in a loop. You'll just need to update the Yahoo URL each time through.

when i try and convert a web page to excel i get a message that there is no data to import.

i bring up the web query, let excel do its thing, then click "import" and get a message that there is no data.

any ideas?

i just want to get some of this data imported to excel and i can manipulate it from there.

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to say thanks. I found this thread using google trying to figure out how to use excel to make a draft board. The import tip was just what I needed to get started. I am no Excel expert, but with a little research I was able to make something we can display on a projector for everyone to see.
There is a drop down list for every position. I pulled a list of players from NFL.com. After you choose a player, he is no longer pickable. You enter the price of the player under their name. The spread sheet keeps track of how much you spent, how much you have left, and how many players you need. It also changes color at the bottom to let you know you are running out of money. Also, if you go over you $100 you are allowed to spend, there is a $25 penalty for every $1. It will calculate that for you.
