Saving Private Ryan was great, as was Full Metal Jacket, Band of Brothers and Blackhawk down.

Tons more, just my memory bites.

Took awhile to get Full Metal Jacket mentioned.

Vincent D'Onofrio loses his mind....awesome!

"Hiiiiiiiii Jokkkerrrrrr......" ;-D

Cheesy war film from my younger days, but it was jampacked with future stars. Red Dawn. I don't know why, but I loved this movie.

What about Fire Base Gloria. R. Lee Emery(SP) is in it. He is not as tough as he was in Full Metal Jacket but he still was tough.

I always thought Hamburger Hill was underrated.

Glory I think is still the best war movie.

Full Metal Jacket, Bridge Over River Kwai, The Dirty Dozen, and Saving Private Ryan would go in my top 5 too.

If you are into watching the old flicks there's;
All Quiet on the Western Front. Old flick that deals with the idealism of going to war, pride for your country vs the brutality and futility of war.
The Longest Day. Covers the D Day invasion. Great movie.
For the more romantic there's Gone with the Wind or Dr. Zivago(sp)
If you like naval movies there's;
Tora Tora Tora
Das Boot-best sub flick I've ever seen
