Saving Private Ryan was great, as was Full Metal Jacket, Band of Brothers and Blackhawk down.

Tons more, just my memory bites.

Took awhile to get Full Metal Jacket mentioned.

Cheesy war film from my younger days, but it was jampacked with future stars. Red Dawn. I don't know why, but I loved this movie.

Glory I think is still the best war movie.

Full Metal Jacket, Bridge Over River Kwai, The Dirty Dozen, and Saving Private Ryan would go in my top 5 too.

I was going to put that one up myself, its been ages since ive seen it but its logged in my brain as being decent.

If you are into watching the old flicks there's;
All Quiet on the Western Front. Old flick that deals with the idealism of going to war, pride for your country vs the brutality and futility of war.
The Longest Day. Covers the D Day invasion. Great movie.
For the more romantic there's Gone with the Wind or Dr. Zivago(sp)
If you like naval movies there's;
