I want to learn to make my own signatures. As you can see, my current sig is nothing but a picture and some text. I think I would enjoy working with the Photoshop 5.0 that is on my computer but I have no idea how to use. Can anyone give me a site to go to to really learn everything there is to know about all this.
Or..you could help me with a problem I've had(granted I have only been fooling around with photoshop for a day). I have gotten familiar with the filters and effects and all that. What I'm having trouble with is how to, after I get my background how I like it, put a picture of a player on that background. To me it sounds like it should be easy but I can't figure it out.
Copy the picture of the player into photoshop and erase the background using the eraser. Then when you have the player completely erased from the background, get the cursor tool and drag it into the other window, that you have the background in. Then you'll have to transform it using ctrl T and make it to the size that will fit and look good.
heh, you know what, ive been messing with it for anout a month, and I dont know why i never did that zimm, i always used lasso to cut them out and copy it on there...wow
I've heard of people using both. I personally like the eraser better because I like how the edges turn out better, it's more like a fade than a perfect line that the polygonal lasso gives. It's ll personal preference though.
I use the magnetic lasso as it grabs the outline for you as long as there is a decent color contrast between the BG and what you want to cut out, a little practice and this is the way to go. The regualr lasso is a bit more work but looks good too.
I don't know if we've really helped the original poster at all, we've just confused him probably.
I might have to try one of these new ways on my next sig. I haven't been too happy with how any of my recent ones have turned out. They've all been sucking lately, I guess that's what happens when you don't use PS for 3 months.
