Take a Look at My Team Please!!!

Postby pmix » Wed Sep 25, 2002 5:09 pm

This is my first year for fantasy football and I LOVE IT!!! I'm currently 2-1, but I'm going up against the top tier teams in the next couple weeks, that's why I need to know if I should make some changes.

Here is my lineup and reserves

Start 1 QB Warner - Backup McNair
Start 2 RB's Dillon, L. Smith - Backups Pittman, Staley, Mealey (I'm dropping him)
Start 3 WR's Boston, Moulds, Mohammed - Backups Coles, Stokes
Kicker is Longwell (my best point producer)
Def is New England

FYI, we are limited to 14 players.

First,
I currently am trying to upgrade the wr backup's by dropping Coles and Stokes and picking up free agents Andre Davis, Ike Hilliard, Plaxico Burress or Finnegan from Atlanta (I heard his name mentioned in the forums). Could I get somebody to rank these four players and who you would take or should I stick with who I have?

Second,
Would you trade Lamar Smith or Dillon for Bledsoe? and then make a move to trade Warner for a top tier running back? Duckett and Foster are available would dropping Staley for one of these guys be worth it?

Thanks for all the input.

ok here we go:

drop stokes for burress. dont give up on coles quite yet.

trade lamar for bledsoe if u can, not dillon. then trade warner or bledsoe for a top rb. u should make out very well. u might actually get a better rb for bledsoe, his value is very high right now.

dont drop staley for either of those two rbs.

who are u getting by dropping mealey?

yes drop coles and stokes and pick up any of the 4 wr that you mentioned. your lineup looks solid with the exception of depth at the running back postion. try to work on that.

I was looking at pickin up one of the other WR's. I am concerned about Muhammed injury. Also I planning ahead to some bye weeks that I have coming up and the needs at wr by some of the other teams that I will be going against.

If your concerned about Muhammed(he has a history of injuries)drop him and grab Finneran as his stock is rising.

i say trade smith for bledsoe then trade either bledsoe or warner for a top tier RB basically all your doing here is upgrading your RB

then drop stokes and pick up finneran he will do good this year and his value is skyrocketing as vicks #1 man this year this makes an upgrade at WR for you

then drop mealy and pick up duckett because he is quickly winning the job in ATL over dunn faster than i expected at least and his stock will jump next week so he probably wont be around after next week

these three moves gives you more depth and much more trade bait for later in the season which is always a bonus. if you are worried about muhammed then keep your eye on him or drop him for burress or davis but i think you should wait a bit and see how the others develop
