Who is the 4th Best Rb

Postby Bears_Fan » Fri Aug 12, 2005 2:42 pm

I think we all know alexnder/holmes/LT are 1/2/3
but I don't think james is #4 because he doesn't get much redzone action and often fails to score when he does see carries in that area.
I think #4 is Jamal.

5.James
6.Macallister/Mcgahee

i gotta take duece here. His offense has rededicated itself to the run and he just signed a new deal. He also doesnt have a nagging injury like Jamal and is the focal point of his teams offense unlike Edge. Duece Also will be the man in the redzone unlike edge. I just dont see how duece cant have a big season.

Ill take Deuce - I expect a big yr.

Good point about the schedules - although I dont think NO have it nearly as tough as some teams have it - it isnt a cakewalk either.

I'll take Edge. He's gonna get your yards and some rec. yards as well. Plus he'll get the same or more TDs this year, with a few rec. tds as well I think.
ADMIN edit: please note that the overall sig limit is 12k - thanks!

to really go out on a limb, why not KEVIN JONES??
why no one has Kevin Jones in the top 10 of the RB list is puzzling to me...
I wish all those people were in my leagues for sure!! ;-)

the guy only led the league in rushing over the final 1/2 of 2004..
they picked up Mike Milliams and Marcus Pollard..now exactly HOW is a defense supposed to cover ALL 4 players ( Roy and Mike Williams, Rogers, Pollard) AND account for Kevin Jones????

WARNING: BIGTIME season ahead..draft accordingly.

oh yeah, BTW Detroit plays a cakewalk sked v. run...

;-D
Im not ready to put him that high - but the kid is special. Anyone that watched him toward the end of last yr knows this - he was hitting 5+YPC against 8-9 in the box. Scary good. Almost never gets tackled for a loss, and is elusive in tight spaces.
The big knock against him is the TDs. Even though he wont lose goalline carries per say - with 4 other endzone threats on the roster it could be difficult to put up elite TDs. The yards will be elite though - no doubt.

Also Tanner - DET actually faces a very difficult schedule: CHIx2, MINx2, BAL, PIT, CIN, CAR, ATL, TB...

With CHI and MIN improving defensively this offseason thats not a favorable schedule. Considering last yr they faced the AFC South (TEN, IND, HOU, JAX) - this yr will be a stark contrast.
