Raiders vs. Niners

Anybody watching this?

Raider O-Line looks great. Collins has all day. Lamont is getting great o-line play.

Collins has been spreading the ball.

Lamont is the center of the offense.

6 1st downs in 2 drives.

Zack Crockett stalled the offense.

Moss has one catch for 11 yards. No deep passes at all.

Lots of chipping away.

Niners 1st possesion. 3 and out.

Barlow had a 5-yard run.

A Smith overthrown ball.

Not much to report here.

L-Boogie is the man. How was that one-handed catch? Not bad. Collins is playing smart so far. Not forcing anything. That one defensive series looked good for the Raiders but then again it's the 'Niners we're talkin' about.

Go Raiders!

Warren Fatt got a sack. Right on but again it's the 'Niners. D looks a lot better than last year. Niners. Morant looks good. Chains keep movin' under Tui. I know, I know. Niners.

Second half different story. Raiders bench better step up. 3 straight 'Niner TDs in a span of 5 minutes. TD catch by BLloyd, Tui picked by 9ers 6th round pick returned for a TD and then Ward fumbles the ball on the ensuing KO.

Tui and Morant looked really good on that drive before the pick at around the 9ers 5 yard line.

Walters in.

What surprised me when I looked at the score box was Jordan caught 4 balls. Didn't think he was going to be doing much of that.

This was the epitome of a preseason game. Not much to glean from it after the first few drives.

General impressions, that Raiders Oline looked about as solid as I've seen in years. I'm tempering that a bit with the fact that we've got some holes and a new defensive scheme, but they were flat manhandling people.

Jordan looked above what I expected. Watch out, he could be in for a year that no one is seeing coming.

Niners first team offense struggled as expected. Worst fears will be realized if they send Smith out there early this year, they are going to get him pounded. Lloyd looked decent in the 2nd half v. the scrubs. :-?

I picked him up 1st overall in the expansion draft for the $$$ keeper league I joined this year, and I have been watching him back up C-Mart as a Jest fan for a while now, so you could say I saw it coming... :-D Hope he keeps it up...
