for those who dont want to read it, it disproves the myth that there is a chemical in pools that ditect the presence of urine. am i the only one who was tricked?

My buddies dad when we were kids fooled us with this by showing us, with some food coloring in his trunks jumped in and said he was going to pee in the pool to show us what would happen. He jumped in and squirted some coloring as he told us he was going to pee. That fooled each and every one of us for years. When we were 14 or 15 he told us what he had done. He still laughs at us all the time for that one. So i have passed down the myth, i havent gone as far as the food color trick, but im sure i will when they get a little older. And the legend goes on.
