#2 WR in Pittsburgh?

Steeler fans, who is the next best WR in Pittsburgh not named Hines Ward?

Randel-El has the big play capability, and amazing speed. But likely the #2 WR will end up being Cedric Wilson. Well its what everyone says. Ive always liked Randel-El but only as a WR that is thrown to rarely but for big gains. If we keep him at #3 hell be more productive there as he will only be man-to-man coverage.

Cedrick Wilson is filling in for Hines right now so that has to say something about where they feel Wilson fits in with the offense. I like Randle El a lot, but I don't know that he will ever be more than a Slash type role in Pittsburgh.

This is an odd question, methinks. The second best receiver is Randle El. But the #2 will be Wilson. The beauty of Randle El's attack is that he slipped under the radar of Plax and Ward, who defenses concentrated on, and created mismatches against OLBs and subpar nickle backs. Since Wilson isn't exactly Plax-quality, Randle El will still be at #3 as to hope defenses will concentrate on the X and Z receiver routes. Not to mention, Wilson, while supporting somewhat erratic play, will still make a fine #2 in Pitt.

I am not so sure that Wilson is the definate #2. Its a crapshoot at best at this point. They have Cedric in Wards spot at the flanker while Randel El is playing the split end. The natural #2 position for a #2. I think this is done so Randle El can get as much time there as possible as the incumbent #2. From what I have read, Wilson has been lighting it up thus far in camp.

They need to get Ward in camp ASAP!!!! Pay that man his $$$

It sounds like it might be Wilson. I mean, if he's playing as the No. 1 while Hines is out, don't you think he'll slide down into the No. 2 when he comes back. Plus, he and Ben seem to have established a good rapport in camp.
