I don't know about that one. His proformance is never quite that consistant. I would pick a James Stewart, or a Jamal White who is said to be a break out runner for Clevland... ;-D

Timm,

I have both on my FF team (keeper) I like Foster and I am confident he will be a star in the NFL. I picked up Smith cheap in our draft because everyone thinks he is washed up. I don't think so.
If given playing time, he will do well.

The Panthers made a significant investment in getting both Foster and Smith. They want to rely heavily on the ground game and take pressure off the young QB.

The reason I have both on my team is that I am guaranteed a starter no matter who plays. But Smith is not washed up at all.
If you are looking at him as a starter, he might be a gamble but if you are talking about late rounds why not? He and Stacey Mack are two top notch backup RBs. Go for it!

With one good year in his last 8,Smith will have DeShaun Foster to centend with for the starting job.If Smith doesn't have a good first few starts, then his Foster will become the starter.I suggest you let someone else take the gamble on Smith.I suggest you take Foster and gamble on his long-term upside.

Timmy,
I am going to draft Foster. I am buying into the hype about him. He might be the opening day starter. If he plays well, he will keep it, but Smith is right there waiting. He is said to be like a Dickerson.
