Great Quote About WRs on Page2

Postby StlSluggers » Wed Aug 17, 2005 5:42 pm

This article is talking about the ascention of NFL wide receiver into the rank of the premier Prima Donna position among all sports. It ends with this paragraph:

Page2 wrote:But remember, we're the ones who cultivated a climate where me-first athletes prosper, where they're rewarded for acting like selfish asses, where "Look at me! Look at me!" became a rule of thumb for anyone looking to make a splash. At the rate we're going, receivers will be humping goalposts and fake-pooping footballs in the end zone some day. It's bound to happen. So either kick back and enjoy the lunacy or ignore them like you would a deranged homeless man on the street.

I would watch that... ;-D

They are biting off another article written somewhere last year when someone said about the perfect TD celebration for Najeh Davenport being to fake dump a ball.

Yep...they stole that idea. :-t

People just need to remember that no one player is bigger than the game and stop giving the idiots a medium to make themselves glory hounds. :-[

Meh....So they do something extravagant get over it! And move on! Geese...It seems like when ever a player gloats, people cry and want him to stop!

For the record I'd probably ignore Homless too if I saw him on the street :-] No wait I take that back I'd flip him some coin and tell him to get a job. ;-D
