Bears Sign 5'6" kick returner, J.J. Moses

I never knew you could play in the NFL at 5 foot 6 inches without being a place kicker, but apparently you can. The Bears signed former Houston Texan, J.J. Moses to a two year contract to replace the injured Jerry Azumah and since departed R.W. McQuarters.

And, at 5'6, is the shortest man in the NFL. He might just be short enough to get lost in a crowd and be able to make things happen, Then again, he might just get eaten like a cookie by some huge linebacker hungry to make the team.

Darren Sproles is also listed at 5'6". Anyway hopefully Moses can lead the Bears to the promised land.

I couldn't find anything that says he was released, but there are a lot of articles floating around Chicago right now that are saying Bobby Wade solidified himself (or at least made a strong case) at Punt Returner.

If this is true, it is only a matter of time since Moses' only purpose is as a returner. Wade would be our Punt Returner and Azumah would go back to Kick Returner when his hip heals.

It's relatively unimportant, but it is official. Moses has been released.
