Kyle Boller -- Random Peanut Vendor

Obviously, Priest and LJ

As far as any other handcuffs, I always look at my overall depth as opposed to whether or not I need to handcuff.

I think that people look at handcuffs as player/handcuff relationships when I think they should look at it as positional security for a team or their team.

For example, Julius Jones, Portis, Deuce and Kevin Jones are all top picks -- most people don't know their backups let alone rushes to draft those guys backups. Why, because they would be locking up that teams running game along with the back up spares to those guys.

That is a lot different than Priest/LJ due to the RB production out of KC.

As far as anyone else, it goes back to the depth piece of it. If I've got mulitple starting backs, no real reason to take Dominic Rhodes or Najeh Davenport if I've taken Edge or Ahman. But, if throughout my draft, I somehow ended up with poor starting RB depth, it now makes it vital and well worth it to secure my starting RB's backups if they are a somewhat proven commodity. It's not overly done because of their ability -- I would do it to insure my starting spots.

I'm sorry if that makes no since. My example would be my 12 team draft a couple of weeks ago. The draft played out FAR differently than anyone could expect and I found myself with decent starters but horrific options at RB. The biggest problem -- every RB with even a split time pulse got taken 2-3 rounds early at MINIMUM -- i.e. Bettis in the 4th, Dunn in the middle of the 3rd, Faulk in the 7th, S. Davis in the 6th.

Needless to say, after my first 4 picks of Jamal, Moss, Chad Johnson and Gonzo, backs were already getting thin. I took DeShaun Foster. That is servicable at best in a #2 RB position.

I filled in some other positions but was never able to get another starting RB. So, my choice/solution was draft C. Taylor and E. Shelton.

These are some pretty big spares to have on a 12 team roster but, as of now, I have 2 starting RB's. If anything happens to either of those backs, I have their backups. So I have secured the BALT and CAR running games (in theory). I also do have Larry Johnson so, if anything with Priest happens, that helps me in this league.

Sure, S. Davis could come back and really screw me or Shelton could be a nothing and Goings get in there but, at the time, had to do something. Taylor has done somewhat well when Jamal has been out so I'm ok with him.

Anyway, I originally only had the Boller joke but ended up hitting edit and putting all this in there -- I have ZERO clue if it helps...

By the way, my roster ended up like this:

Starter

C. Palmer
Jamal
Foster
Moss
C Johnson
C. Rogers
Gonzo
BALT
Kicker

Warner
LJ
Shelton
Taylor
Colbert

Hutch-Orton-Blake-Kittner-Starter to be named

Okay, Priest-LJ is huge, Anderson-Bell seems to be shaping up, and Brown-Henry is a must.
