RB Benson Puts New House Up For Sale?
Phil Arvia, Daily Southtown - [Full Article]

A Texas-based journalist is reporting that RB Cedric Benson has put a house he purchased in Libertyville shortly after the draft back on the market, and has had a pair of cars shipped back to his home state. Call those the counter moves to GM Jerry Angelo's ill conceived "final offer"?

Are you friggin kidding me? Take your $17mil guaranteed Ced, you sit a year and you'll never make that much total in guaranteed+non-guaranteed money.

where else would he play? Not many teams are desperate for a RB these days.

Man, it's like little kids playing with matches. I wonder who will blink first?

Hey, according to some, $17 million won't even come close to feeding your family. ;-)

What kind of food do those Texas people eat?
Should we sell Burritos and advertise them with shirts that say, "F.U.C.B"?

Of course, us Detroiters would have to have "T.Y.C.B" shirts ;-D

i love the stands teams like the bucs (meshawn), philly (owens), miami (ricky) and green bay (walker) have taken lately. the days of players holding out for big contracts - and getting them - are coming to an end.

if benson thinks he'll be the next bo jackson (originally drafted by tampa - later re-drafted by the raiders) and thinks he is going to be in a better situation, he's lost.

...although, if i were him, i wouldn't want to play for the bears either...

Oh, speaking of what he's doing, a Texas-based journalist is reporting that Benson has put a house he purchased in Libertyville shortly after the draft back on the market, and has had a pair of cars shipped back to his home state. Call those the counter moves to Jerry Angelo's ill conceived "final offer" press release.

I found this rather interesting, selling his house and moving his cars back home?

Hey Benson: F. U.

How ironic the one guy who was shedding tears on draft day, is now the only 1st rounder still holding out.

What a complete jack@ss he is.

:-t :-t

If and when he signs, fans should boo him for years.
