hah, i just got done discussing this with my brother

apparently it focuses more on like Voice Chat, like through a microphone

i guess thats pretty cool

i love googles Gmail but i dont think i will be using this anytime soon

This could be really cool if they really Google-fied it with new features that AIM either hasn't thought of or doesn't offer, but if it's just going to be a generic IM service that emphasizes voice chatting, I'll probably pass.

It could be fairly popular in a few years, but I think AIM will still rule.

I was watching the news last night and they said they're trying to make it like Trillian. Basically - you can talk to people on AIM, YIM, MSN, and ICQ. I just heard this and I don't know if it's true or not, but it'll be worth getting if they do.

AIM has a billion ads and it's really annoying.

Google is much smarter than any other company. They'll figure out a way to make it appealing.

It just came out and they'll be doing tons of tweaks to it.

I already think its better than AIM because it integrates a GMail notifier, my email client....and it's cleaner.

I've already got 5 of my friends to switch. The problem is that most of my contacts are solely on AIM.

I have trillian, but use AIM and it works amazing. It's like AIM w/o the ads and all my buddies are using AIM. I'll have to look into this.
