Honda's cog ad

Postby Ironhorse75 » Wed Aug 24, 2005 10:45 pm

Yes yes yes, I'm posting another oldie but goodie.

The craftsmanship in this commercial is remarkable. No special effects or CGI, this is in real time, real parts from 2 Accords. 2 of the 6 handmade Accord's that exist in the world.

It only took 606 takes.

I've seen this. It's amazing.

My science teacher showed us this because he assigned us a project where you have to do one of these but only 8 steps...

How do the tires roll up a hill unaided, and not roll back down, or show no signs of rolling back down. Still a pretty cool comercial.

Im pretty shure that the tires have weights in them that allows them to climb the hill.

You can read about the commercial here. It's actually a nice site verifying many urban legends.
