I think he is going about this the wrong way...Look at what LT did for the chargers! This kid is blowing it. Personally I hope they don't sign him and he goes back into the draft next year, and falls to the 2nd or 3rd round, less money!!!!

Assuming he EVER SIGNS, I'd guess week 5 or 6. At that point the Bear organization won't be thinking about preseason problems, they'll be more concerned with stopping their ship from sinking.

I'll go out on a bit of limb here & say the Bears may take a cue from what the Steelers did last year. Take the pressure off the QB, and look to the run & defense to win games for you. Thomas Jones is not talented enough to fulfill that role IMO, but Benson...

I think he'll be the man all year. Personally, I think Benson is a moron to hold out for longer, but he's held out for this long, why stop now? If and when Benson does sign, I think Jones will still outperform him and keep the job.

I'd say about half the year if Benson signs. Once the Bears are about 2-6 and realize it's all over for the year, they'll probably plug Benson in and see what he's got...depends though how long it is until he signs. I think it'll take him atleast 6 weeks to get up to speed with everything before they throw him into a game.
