Warner injury over/under?

Postby Cornbread Maxwell » Thu Aug 25, 2005 1:59 pm

ARI has a shakey Oline.
ARI has a QB that teams know is easily shaken when pressured.
ARI has a RB combo that will have issues picking up the blitz.

How long before Warner gets injured?

I am so on the under train. In fact, I think it will be 3 or less games before he is hurt. The guy is a statue out there and he is gun shy now. Injury waiting to happen.

i actually look for warner to have a great season.....he isnt going to be doing 5 and 7 step drops, so not a lot of sacks....very quick passing attack, short slants, quick fades....denny green will have this team pushing for a .500 record....remember what he did in minnesota with jeff george and randall cunningham....everyone said they were washed up....so there is no reason he cant do the same with warner....

It seems like the Vikings have always had a great O-line. The Cards don't. They don't stop the rush well. I can't see how Mrs Warner's husband can servive the first month. He'll will suffer a concussion every bit as severe as the headache he married.

I see a bag in his future. Either one that he puts groceries in, or the one that they'll put him in.

i'm going with over here. He is a solid player who plays the game right, with out all the flash and pride. He also makes the right desision most of the time. That being said i dont see him getting injured before week six but I wouldn't be suprised to see him get some nagging injury or sometrhing later in the year.

I'm going against the grain and saying over. I think he has something to prove and he's got much better weaspons in Boldin, Fitz and Johnson than he did in NY. If he stops doing the 5 - 7 step drops and gets his reads quicker, he'll get sacked less often, weak Oline or not.

Besides, with Josh McCown as the second QB, I think Denny Green will do all he can to protect Warner for as long as he can.

I have him as Over - I think the guy has gotten a rep as "gun shy" without much justification to it. He was a two-time MVP and then he has one game where he got blasted (what was it, 7 sacks?) and a later admission that he was concussed for half the game - Martz ends up going with Bulger the rest of the year and all of a sudden Warner is a shite QB?

I'm not buying it. As previously mentioned he was doing okay with the Gints, had them going strong before the Eli show started, and Arizona is much stronger at the skill positions than NYG are - and NYG O-line is not exactly the Great Wall of KC either for that matter...

I'm going over..

He likes the shotgun, he will get lots of chances with that sucky line.

But I think he makes it over 6...Not saying all season, but he could...
