Cardinals: Another center goes down
The News
The Cardinals lost another center on Wednesday when Billy Conaty showed up to practice with a contusion on his triceps. Conaty had been penciled in as the replacement for starting center Alex Stepanovich, who broke his snapping hand earlier this month. The Arizona Republic reports that Conaty is questionable for Friday's game against the Raiders.
Our View
The current plan is former offensive tackle Adam Haayer to start at center if Conaty can't play. The only problem is that Haayer, a Vikings' castoff, has never played center at the pro level before. We'll keep you updated on Conaty's status if more information is released.
kinda worries me that they will have some 3rd string center who has never taken a snap at the pro-level. might take awhile for that line to gel, so it COULD result in an early season slump for JJ.
still, i'm pretty high on him and i dont think this would cause me to knock him down at all
This was posted in the JJ Arrington thread.
Does it change anyones mind? They are now using a guy who has never played C and isnt very talented regardless as their OLine anchor.
Better get rid of it quick old man - cause the kids are coming.
By the way - Im gonna say on record that CAR takes him out in week 5.
