Cardinals: Another center goes down
The News

The Cardinals lost another center on Wednesday when Billy Conaty showed up to practice with a contusion on his triceps. Conaty had been penciled in as the replacement for starting center Alex Stepanovich, who broke his snapping hand earlier this month. The Arizona Republic reports that Conaty is questionable for Friday's game against the Raiders.
Our View

The current plan is former offensive tackle Adam Haayer to start at center if Conaty can't play. The only problem is that Haayer, a Vikings' castoff, has never played center at the pro level before. We'll keep you updated on Conaty's status if more information is released.

kinda worries me that they will have some 3rd string center who has never taken a snap at the pro-level. might take awhile for that line to gel, so it COULD result in an early season slump for JJ.

still, i'm pretty high on him and i dont think this would cause me to knock him down at all

This was posted in the JJ Arrington thread.

Does it change anyones mind? They are now using a guy who has never played C and isnt very talented regardless as their OLine anchor.

Better get rid of it quick old man - cause the kids are coming. }:-)

By the way - Im gonna say on record that CAR takes him out in week 5.

Their starting center will be back during the regular season... they were talking about him playing with the broken hand this week maybe. It dosn't sound that serious.

I might be in the minority but I think Warner is not only going to have a great season, he is going to be top ten in fantasy numbers by the time the season ends.

If defenses stack the box and rush him they are going to get burned. Arizona has possibly the best starting three WR in football. The third guy Bryant Johnson is a former #1 pick and he is the third option! This team is really going to surpise some people and their defense even looked really good.

Yup - and chances are at this point without playing another snap all year he still finishes with a better stat line than Joey Harrington Image

Why? Where did that come from?

But just to humor you...

Standard Yahoo scoring:
Joey Harrington = 14 points in 2 games.
Kurt Warner = 13 points in 3 games.

My twisted sense of humor I guess...

As far Yahoo Standard Scoring goes - :-t :-t - Yahoo standard scoring is BS and you know it, too heavily TD-favored and not enough points for yardage - anyone that thinks one TD should equal the same points as 300 yards of passing is silly IMO...
