So why not pull a last rd. flier on KRob?

Postby MadScott » Fri Aug 26, 2005 11:06 am

Looking for a late WR with a 1000+ yard season under his belt with big upside who is going to be motivated this year to play? Look no further than Koren Robinson. The guy is just finishing up a 30 day rehab stint in AA where hopefully he got his head screwed on straight. The guy has all of the talent in the world to be a top WR in the NFL but hasn't had it between the ears. Perhaps his release is exactly the impetus that he needed to start fresh in his life and realize that talent.

He should end up on a team that is in need of some type of WR help and has the ability to contribute right away. IMO, he's more than worth a last rd. draft pick on him as a wait and see.

I'd love to hear other's thoughts.

Maybe in a 80 team league.

The guy will still have to learn a playbook in the short break that he takes between hitting the sauce and toking the joker.

Hasn't had it between the ears? Hasn't had it between the hands either. He drops most balls thrown to him. Maybe a last round pick at best.

Why not do it? It'd be a good laugher for the other owners.

Just kidding, but there's no need to burn a draft choice on a guy you will most assuredly be able to pick up on waivers even if he signs with a team.

Why not take a late round flier on Andre Rison?

I remember the 49'ers had some kind of deal in place with him until he was charged with the DWI. And I think the Eagles still have some interest.

I wouldnt draft him now because he is currently unemployed and still has a dozen question marks. Once he signs on, and I see a couple of reports on him then you can THINK about a FA pick up.

Definitely worth a late pick, esp. in deep drafts.

As far as learning a new playbook, Keenan didn't have any problems in mid season going to SD, I don't think.

Yeah, but Keenan has a work ethic where K-Rob is anything but a student of the game. I'd only take a flier on him in a very deep league.
