Staley out until week 5

Postby Shockers » Fri Aug 26, 2005 12:31 pm

Rotoworld:

The Steelers sound likely to hold Duce Staley out until week five.
Pittsburgh has a bye in week four and can easily survive with Jerome Bettis, Willie Parker, and Verron Haynes in the meantime. With the situation we have at running back, we don't have to rush to get him back,'' coach BillCowher said. ''We need him this season.''

I read earlier in the year that The Bus said he would not be able to handle another load like he had last year. Parker runs a 4.2 40. Look for him to see some time in the meanwhile.
Anyone here collect football cards??? PM me for some great trading sites online.

STill, I'm glad I grabbed Bettis as my third RB. He could be huge, don't forget how money he was when Staley was out last year.

I knew I shouldn't have drafted Staley! Good thing I didn't burn a decent pick on him. What a disappointment this guy has been since he left the Iggles.

ESPN did a whole thing on Bettis last week. He said he has done a 180 from when he was thinking of retiring in the post season last year. Claims he is in better shape and ready to be "the" back.

I loved it when we picked him up! I was excited, however these days I am starting to think he needs to have Vagisil on tap in the training room!
Go Willie! Go Verron! Go BUS!!!!!

Bus will continue to be a goal-line hog, but ...

hellloooo, Willie!

Yeah, the announcers were talking about this being a possibility at last week's game.

Vagisil? C'mon man, I doubt you'd call him a punk to his face. He may be injured but that happens sometimes, bet you weren't bitching when he was putting up 100+ yards at the beginning of last year.

No I wasn't, but where was he at in the playoffs when we needed him the most? And your right to his face probably not, he is a big guy! Would you say anything negative to any NFL player? Probably not! I just think he is dead weight! I think Cowher is doing the right thing by waiting to start him. If he can produce at the end of the year ll be happy. Hey if he can be the guy I'm all for it, but until he shows me he can I will continue my train of thought!
