Yahoo auto pick?

Postby toolmakerkmm » Fri Aug 26, 2005 4:44 pm

I'm drafting tomorrow in a ten team Yahoo auto pick draft. When do you pre-rank you IDP's and how many players should you pre-rank? We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2WR/RB Flex,1K, and 6 defensive players.

Start by breaking each position down into tiers (eg - many consider there to be 3 QB's in the first tier and then X number in the second tier and so on). This makes it much easier for ranking. I haven't done IDP's in autopick but ya don't wanna rank them too high - and whatever ya do, don't go by Yahoo's rankings as they're way off on the IDP's (for this reason you can probably grab some good IDP's in later rounds as some will no doubt use Yahoo's rankings.
You are allowed to rank a max 10 players for every roster spot (ie -if you are drafting 20 players, you can rank up to 200 players but in most cases ya really don't need to rank that many since everyone will have different lists but I usually rank as many as I can).

I've sworn off auto pick after last year I got Manning, Curtis Martin, Tiki Barber, the Bus, Baltimore, and Driver one year - in a 12 man league.

Just unfair. But it was a grand year indeed. ;-D I would just keep your top 10 stacked and hope the dice roll in your favor. It's random and auto and has no way to be beaten. Good luck!
