A.Green or S.Davis - better outlook?

who would the experts here prefer to have on their team - Ahman Green or Stephen Davis??

i am considering dealing one or the other to sure up my receiver corps

this is actually a pretty good question. i think the more your league scores for yardage, the more it leans to ahman. as of right now, i would be more apt to take green w/ my #2 pick than davis.

I would definitely take Green. I hear Carolina might not be so sold on Davis, and that Foster might steal up to ten carries a game. Green is the safest bet. I would take Green even if Davis didn't split carries.

Green has proved what he can do for a few years now. S.Davis is coming to a new team with a pretty bad offense. I think Davis will be a very solid #2 RB this year, maybe even a poor #1 if Foster doesn't take away too many touches, but there is no guarntee with him.

There both solid RB's but I woulds give Green the edge here.

brdmaverick where did you hear that the Panthers aren't sold on Davis? I have only heard Henning say good things about him. BTW Foster hasn't even carried the ball in a game since his injury, I wouldn't too sold on him taking 10 carries a game yet.

I am going to give Davis his first vote here even though the Carolina offense is one dimensional.

Both are coming off seasons in which injuries which were an issue. Green would be the obvious choice, one would think, however, if you look at the stats the Carolina RB combination of Dee Brown and Lamar Smith put up over the course of last season, you'd see that even though this offense is pretty bad, it produced a combined 1000+ yards rushing and 12 TDs from the starting RB position. I would think that makes this a toss up as Ahman should put up similar numbers in a good season in which he stayed healthy.

I think it's more of a tier question. Everybody agrees on the top 7 guys. There's probably 3 more after that that make up another tier. Then 8-10 guys in the next tier.

Henry Edge A Green

Then another tier or 2 including

Barber, Taylor, Dillon, Lewis, Davis, W Green, George, Martin, maybe Garner

Afer that the RB situation gets pretty muddled. Some good values later for sure, but A Green would be a better choice. There's another 7 guys in the Davis tier range that you might be able to grab with your next choice. If you add in the 3 WR sure to be chosen, and 2-4 QB's you might get one on the rebound depending on where you draft. WR's go fast in the 3rd round. Grab Ahman and wait for another RB to fall, then grab the lst of the elite 4-13 WR is my general plan.
