Have you ever noticed how some players in the NFL have names that are not pronounced the way they are spelled? It happens every so often with a few players, and I believe I have found the reason behind two of these abnormal pronunciations.

Let's start with WR Eric Moulds.

Cleary his name is phonetically pronounced "Moolds." But every announcer on television says "Molds."

Stay in that vein. TE Jim Kleinsasser. His name should be pronounced "Kline-sass-er." But every announcer on television says "Kline-sauce-er."

I BELIEVE ERIC MOULDS HAS GIVEN THE "U" IN HIS LAST NAME TO JIM KLEINSASSER.

Call me crazy. Call me insane. But it is not the only example.

WR Plaxico Burress. Obviously his name is "Plack-sick-o" (that's funny for different reasons). But every announcer says "Pleck-sick-o."

Then you have QB Kelly Holcomb. Clearly there is a missing "E" on the end of his last name.

I BELIEVE KELLY HOLCOMB HAS GIVEN THE MISSING "E" AT THE END OF HIS LAST NAME TO PLAXICO BURRESS.

Now we are left with the question...what happened to the "A" right in the middle of Plaxico's name?

The mystery rages on...
