When to draft Michael Lewis?

Postby JRRNeiklot » Thu Aug 28, 2003 12:03 am

In our league, receivers get 50 yds/point and returners 20/point. Considering this, when would you draft Lewis? 2nd round? 3rd? Or later?

Thanks.

he slipped thru my draft and we have 12 teams

we count those stats too.

not that easy to get 2,000 return yards year after year.

If I'm understanding you correctly and return yards are more than twice as valuable as receiving yards (and no points are scored for receptions), Lewis, given a repeat of last year's performance, could well be the #1 overall pick (depending on RB scoring)... 8-o

who, what, where, when, why?

whats going on here unfortunately Arlo is right. if the RB scoring is anything like the WRs then he would be the top pick. Then Dante Hall and the rest.

Michael Lewis #1 pick... im feeling light headed... *thud*

Here is how our league's scoring is set up - the offense, anyway.

Statistical Categories (Offense):
Passing Yards (50 yards per point)
Passing Touchdowns (6)
Interceptions (-2)
Rushing Yards (20 yards per point)
Rushing Touchdowns (6)
Reception Yards (20 yards per point)
Reception Touchdowns (6)
Return Yards (20 yards per point)
Return Touchdowns (6)
2 Point Conversions (2)
Fumbles (-1)
Fumbles Lost (-2)

I want to make sure I get Lewis, as he'll be much more valuabe than most wideouts, except for touchdowns. With the above data, when would you draft him? I'm thinking grab a couple RBs and a qb, then Lewis in the 4th? Or will he most likely be gone by then?

get him early. this guy was the number 2 WR in your system last year with 2600 combined yards and 3 scores. thats uhh.. quick math, 148 points. harrison only racked up 1700 yards with 11 scores thats 151 points. basically, he is marvin harrison with a different name. just look at combined yards when ranking all the rest of the returners. to be safe, i would draft him in the 3rd round, but people didnt notice the stats in mine, and i nabbed lewis/hall back to back in the 6th and 7th.
