I took Taylor over Barlow and before opening this thread I would have never thought that anyone would to otherwise. Shocking. IMO the ONLY justification for picking Barlow is concern in Freddie's knee, hence the "most watched first quarter" comment from Hurt. Taylor looked pretty good and in my big money league he finished in the Top 15 last year even with the lack of TDs. If that offense improves (how can it not) he should get back to 7-10 TD easily. That would have put him in the Top 10 last year even with the two missed weeks.
Meanwhile, Barlow could be pushed by Gore as the losses pile up (and they surely will). Also, consider that in that same scenario Alex Smith is nearly a lock to get PT after the mathmatical elimination of the 9ers (what week 9 or 10) so right around playoff time their offense is going to suck monkey balls. If Barlow starts well, trade him in anticipation of that.
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
