Who will get the rock in MIN Week #1 ??

Postby spodog » Thu Sep 01, 2005 1:27 pm

Viking followers -

Who is going to carry the ball for MIN week 1 ? Will Moore start? Whats the Bennet injury situation look like?

Is Moe Williams gonna do all the goal line carry work?

Is Robert Smith coming out of retirement for Week #1 only?

What gives?

Bennett is healthy enough to play in this weeks preseason game, he wont though. He should be the week 1 starter, but you cant ever really believe a word Tice says

Bennett is your week one starter. He could even play tomorrow, but won't.

I have slowly come around to believeing that he is just not cut out to be a featured RB, so I would not be surprised to see him either get injured or just demoted by week 6 and replaced by Moore. I say this even though I have him on my two fantasy teams. However, in both cases, he is a backup on my teams and in both cases is not my main backup RB.

as stated above, it WILL be bennett. from there, it's all open.

i'm willing to put the preseason behind and give him an honest shot at the starting position - unlike most people, i actually agree with it. that is a young team, especially at RB, and i think - for the benefit of chemistry - you ALWAYS give the veteran a shot. let him prove he can't do it...then, when you make the switch, there aren't any grumblings.

i think he's actually got a chance, too. whether or not it'll happen is different, though.

Doesn't Moore have a gimpy ankle? I think that's why Bennet is starting week one. I suspect that once Melwelde is healthy he'll taek over the number one role. Bennett has been getting knocked down very easily this X-season.

Moe Williams will again be the goalline vulture.

I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?

Yes, this is the case. Except, Bennett is firmly the starter....for now....and both will be healthy and available for the season opener.
