The sports illustrated preview came out today... like to know everyones opinion on what they said about their favorite team, their superbowl prediction, etc.
I'll start by saying that predicting a 5-11 season for the giants is way off. They have an easier schedule this year and there is no way to say they got worse in the offseason. This years offseason was the best for the Giants in a long time. And they also got all their players healthy which is huge.
eagles 10-6 is patently absurd. For practical purposes, they swept the nfc last year. They sure as hell didn't get worse, by returning ritchie, andrews and having a strong draft, and returning basically every starter except simon and pinkston. The defense has another year of seasoning, and the eagles potentially have an easier schedule this year.
They seem to forget that maybe teams narrowed some gaps, they didn't close it.
It hink Dr. Z is foolish in a lot of regards.
The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Brian Dawkins played in second grade.
I don't think Dallas is going to have that good a year. I think they could be right about Carolina. Not enough love for the 'Skins...if their offense can complement their defense they'll have a better year.
I'm not really a fan of their predictions either. Giants are much better than 5-11, I see anywhere between 7-9 and 9-7. Cowboys won't go 10-6. I would love to see Carolina win it all, they'll definitly go to the playoffs but it doesn't look like a superbowl winning team.

even though i ike the giants saying the eagles will go 10-6 with the same record as the cowboys is totally nuts.... i think dr z pulled his picks out of a hat
10-6 is very conservative for the Eagles but I don't think it's ridiculous to predict the Cowboys to go 10-6.
I'd be more apt to say 8-8 or 9-7 but with the way the NFL is, nothing would surprise me. If JJ can hold the offense together and the defense plays up to it's potential, there's no reason they can't win 9 or 10 games like they did in 2003.
