Sep 1 Azcardinals.com reports:
Arizona Cardinals rookie RB J.J. Arrington says speed was the biggest adjustment he had to make from the college game to the NFL. "There is a big difference," Arrington said. "You don't have nearly as much time in the NFL and things move so much faster here. Light speed. Wow, things move fast. That's why you have to be on top of things and know your stuff before you get out there. And lets face it, I'm small and it's difficult braking tackles. The Fantasy Football fellas should bump me down to a 5th or 6th round pick." Arrington added that he's still learning the offense, but that he feels comfortable with the system and that it's a good fit for him. "I'll get adjusted by next season."
Hah.. If only all other NFL players would give us honest predictions about their fantasy production during the year. I still have him as my highest ranked rookie (but at #21 overall).
funny that you guys didn't check out the link or catch the typos (single space after period, "braking") to figure out that membersonly had ad-libbed everything after "... get out there."
Hmm. I'll admit, he got me too. I was worried at first, but I guess that's what I get for not reading the actual story. I'll definitely follow up every article from now on before I take it seriously.

Gotta respect that. Maybe by midseason, he'll start to get it and make some strides. Right now, he just makes me a little nervous going down from tacklers so easily.
Somehow i think the ORIGINAL quote would have gone something like this
"You don't have nearly as much time in the NFL and things move so much faster here. Light speed. Wow, things move fast. That's why you have to be on top of things and know your stuff before you get out there."
End Quote. Looks like you found a few suckers out there though Members Only.

Was there even a link?
yah. members only said Azcardinals.com. go there and you'll see the story he copped.
and madden talking about his video game is really the best justification (ok, maybe only justification) for putting him on air. i love it when he goes on little spiels about players telling him to make them faster or if he thinks players are better in real life or the video game. but then i also think he should be enshrined in the hall of fame on the video game alone, and just have a video game box instead of a bust at his little alcove.
