I think Clark will get those 6 TD's himself. He's very talented, and Manning has always thrown a ton to the TE.

Look at Manning's total TE passing stats over the past 5 years...yeah, they are between several people:

2000 - 77 rec., 977 yards, 6 TD's (Dilger, Pollard)
2001 - 79 rec., 1082 yards, 9 TD's (Dilger, Pollard)
2002 - 51 rec., 565 yards, 6 TD's (Pollard, Davenport, Wiggins)
2003 - 72 rec., 904 yards, 4 TD's (Pollard, Clark, Davenport)
2004 - 58 rec., 765 yards, 11 TD's (Pollard, Clark, Hartsock)

He threw for over 900 yards to TE's three times in five years...not including last year's crazy year. So it's going to be Clark and Hartsock this year. I don't see why Clark can't get the majority of it - maybe around 700 yards and catch 6 TD's. That would probably be good enough for 6th place on the TE totem pole behind Gonzo, Gates, Witten, Crumpler, and maybe Shockey. He could be top 5 by the end of the year.

I think Clark is a great low-end TE this year that would take in a second if I could get him in Round 8.

I was pretty high on this guy before I drafted, but I'm getting a bit worried now. Manning has thrown ONE pass to him in three preseason games, and he didn't catch it. That does not bode well for his fantasy stats.

Clark has been suffering from the classic exhibition season hamstring problems. I think he'll have a break out season if he can stay healthy. Huge talent, but gets nicked up easily.

Should he stay healthy I could see >60 receptions and >8 TDs.

The only thing I could see happening is him not having to depend on TE's as much as in his earlier days. It used to be pretty much Harrison on the ends, and that's it. Now he has Harrison, Wayne, and Stokley who can all do things. Still, I think he'll use the TE quite a bit just because he goes through all his progressions and always finds someone open. Many times that would be the TE with the WR crew they have.

Dallas Clark is too injury prone to trust as a fantasy TE. I'd steer far clear of him if you can grab an equal TE in his place.

Clark has all the potential in the world, but with all their weapons and Clark's propensity for injury, I dropped him a coupla spots on my board. He got taken in the 7th in my local money league after I had already taken Alge 2 rounds earlier. I love the guy and he's gonna make big plays for my Colts this year, but fantasy wise, he's awfully risky if you value consistancy from your TE.

I drafted Clark a month ago along the same wavelength as you, Mercer, so I hope you're right. But I think you are. And hopefully, his injuries will subside a bit.

I think Clark will get a lot of receiving yards, but won't get the TD's that Pollard used to get.

i like Clark as well but it seems as if others like him a little more. He has been going pretty early in drafts that i have participated in. If im going to use a 6th round pick on a TE i want someone i can trust.

How healthy is Dallas right now? I got LJ Smith as insurance, but am now starting to think he will become my preference as a starter.
