What about Michael Turner??? Isn't he the backup to LT?? Turner has been doing well in preseason and is listed 2nd on the depth chart. Is everyone arguing over a RB who is 3rd on the depth chart or am I missing something?

Just because LT's on your fantasy team doesn't make Sproles a bad player.

The original poster was just saying that Sproles is a pretty good RB and he will get some touches during the regular season. To say he's just gonna sit on the bench all year long and not get any touches at RB is stupid.

Look for him to be in some to create matchup problems on offense in the passing game. I wouldn't be surprised to see both him AND LT in there together on 3rd downs. The first one to beat his OLB cover gets the rock!

saying a back cant make it at 185 lbs is just silly. i am glad someone called those people out. also, i have a hard time believing this guy is going to have any playing time while LT is in there except for maybe a few specialty plays a game........

3rd running backs are situational players often. WHich sproles certainly is. He is a great receiver and can break anybody's ankle and take it to the house. He will likely be in with LT on most of the downs that sproles plays. He'll be another receiver out of the backfield is what I think. Like Faulk and Jackson.

P.S. Warrick Dunn is 180 pounds. Granted he's 3 inches taller, but what does that really mean. Sproles won't be running any fade routes anyways.

lack of size is made up for by speed and elusiveness ever hear of barry sanders? he was 5'8.

I know Barry was 5'8", but he weighed in at 203 lbs! I just think smaller guys (emphasis on weight moreso than height) have a tougher row to how, especially injury-wise. That's not to say they can't be effective.

As a Priest Holmes owner and supporter it's nice to hear this kind of issue coming up about another elite running back...the truth of the matter is that all of these guys have NFL-calibur players backing them up and will lose carries if the need rest or aren't getting the job done. Losing carries isn't the end of the world as long as the stud RB keeps getting the goal line carries (which I think will be the case with both Priest and LT) IMO
