MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 28, 2003) -- Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jeff Blake left theexhibition game at Minnesota with a mild concussion after being sacked by Vikings tackle Chris Hovan.

On the first play from scrimmage, Hovan beat his man and wrapped up Blake, who appeared to hit his head on the turf. He stayed on the ground a few moments before being helped to the sidelines.

Blake, who signed a three-year deal with the Cardinals in March, has completed 21 of 39 passes this preseason for 196 yards and a touchdown. The 12-year veteran is with his fourth team in five years and was brought on to replace Jake Plummer.

Second-year player Josh McCown replaced Blake.
