McNair autographed pics for $100.00 Katrina donations

Postby awwchrist » Fri Sep 02, 2005 12:41 pm

Tennessee quarterback Steve McNair and his Green Bay counterpart Brett Favre worked together to arrange a tractor-trailer filled with supplies for hurricane victims in Mississippi. McNair and Favre ironed out the details by telephone for the tractor-trailer, which was filled with water, canned foods, generators and other supplies.

Both players are from Mississippi.

The Titans and Packers play tomorrow night in a pre-season game in Nashville.

McNair is offering to swap an autographed photo in exchange for a minimum donation of 100 dollars to his foundation. Those funds will be distributed to victims in rural Mississippi.

Another suggestion if you want to help - talk to your league about donating the money you play for. Play for fun this year and help out some people who really need it. If the league as a whole doesn't agree to do it, donate whatever YOU win.

Those people need this money way more than we do.

Make donations to a reputable agency. I'm giving mine to the Red Cross. http://www.redcross.org
