Tomlinson played most of last year hurt and only finished 17 points behind SA in a standard league. Thats about 1 point a week. Nearly negligble, especially since LT had I believe that groin problem. I'd bank on him outperforming SA, if both are injury free.

Shaun also missed some time with his "near ACL tear", and wasn't 100% when he did return.

Most people are picking LT to be the #1 Running Back, if not player, in fantasy football next season, which means he will definitely be the best guy to have, just like Priest Holmes last year and Ricky Williams in 2003. It seems to me that both general consensus and fantasy "experts" are execellent indicators of who performed well the year before .

In other words, if you have the top pick and your gut feeling is Alexander (or Priest or Manning for that matter), there's no reason not to go with your gut. This is supposed to be fun, after all.

I like Alexander to outproduce LT this year. With Morris hurting, everything I've seen/heard points toward Alexander becoming significantly more active in the passing game.

Yes, me too. Though some may take this opportunity to say how so and so has stupid friends and is in a stupid league, I'll refrain from saying that at this time. Fact is, I have stupid friends. One can't help this. I drafted in a 10-team league the other night, and I had the 6th pick, and I got Edge, Dom Davis, Steven Jackson, and Rudi Johnson in the first 4 rounds, in that order. Then in the Keven Barlow in round 9 and Larry Johnson and Mike Anderson in Rounds 13 and 14. It was like taking candy from babies.

Needless to say, the Cafe league I'm in wasn't so easy. I have C-Mart and Fred Freakin' Taylor as my starting RBs. But then I felt I was forced to take Peyton with the last pick of the first round.

So there, I think I've strayed sifficiently far from original topic...
