Or just shows how bad of a coach is Dave Wannstedt when he supposively has the more talented team of the two (I might just be bitter as he ruin my beloved dolphins).

I am also impressed with Weiss coaching skills. The teams look totally different from the previous season.

Quoted for truth.

Michigan's offense is a lot better than Pittsburgh's and even though their defence is somewhat suspect, I would still prefer them over Pitt.

Michigan - 35
Notre Dame - 21

Dang...I really dislike Notre Dame. Looks like Weis has whipped these kids into shape, though. That USC/ND game is going to be a BIG game this year. :-o

Ouch! I'll say this though, Henne looks to be something special at MICH.

Weiss may be doing it with smoke and mirrors but he made that MICH defense look silly on that opening drive.

8-0 a couple of years ago

That ND team did it with special teams and DEF. This team is doing with Offence first and DEF next. It is a different when you can score points with the O instead of the D all the time. I like this Offence better. Also the players look like they believe in the system and who wouldn't this coach help win the 3 out of the last 4 SUPERBOWLS.

With Bob Davie's players. And some of those wins could easily have been losses, IIRC. I've already been reading that Weis has been doing very well in recruiting this time around, and with the success the offense will have, it might very well push the Irish back into the top tier in recruiting. A lot of the HS kids want to go to schools where they can really shine in a great offense - ND hasn't had that, let alone a top team. Success seems to beget more success, and I think Weis has a shot at being the next great coach at ND. Not that I'm predicting he'll definitely do it, but he's got an opening, and from what I've read he's got the football mind that could lead to lots of success. I don't remember Willingham get the same praise - so needless to say, I'm more optimistic now than at any point since Lou Holtz left. ;-D
