The win against Michigan was a replay away from being a loss.
True - that was the big one. And I know there were others...but they say short-term memory is the first to go.

With Bob Davie's players. And some of those wins could easily have been losses, IIRC. I've already been reading that Weis has been doing very well in recruiting this time around, and with the success the offense will have, it might very well push the Irish back into the top tier in recruiting. A lot of the HS kids want to go to schools where they can really shine in a great offense - ND hasn't had that, let alone a top team. Success seems to beget more success, and I think Weis has a shot at being the next great coach at ND. Not that I'm predicting he'll definitely do it, but he's got an opening, and from what I've read he's got the football mind that could lead to lots of success. I don't remember Willingham get the same praise - so needless to say, I'm more optimistic now than at any point since Lou Holtz left.

That Michigan game should of been a loss...Michigan cant turn the ball over multiple times in the red zone and expect to win. But good for the Irish
