I'm real high on JJ this year. That said I would take Portis here and never look back.

I took Jones over Portis myself because I wasn't sure of Clinton's TD capability in that offense, as well as the O-line that did crap last year but looks great on paper.

Both of them are solid picks since their coaches will run them to the ground.

And upon further review, just as sappy, too."

I'm taking Portis fo' sho'. He is a proven stud, has a Top-5 schedule, and can only go up from last year's hard-earned 1300 yards.

Scenario

The thread is gaining speed, you need help, two forums go back and forth in your head, Draft, Trade, Keeper & Waiver Questions, or Football Leftovers.

---

Where do you Post?

A) Draft, Trade, Keeper & Waiver Questions - Where most draft questions go. Surely, not as much viewership, and that means not as many respones. But you'll appease the Webhamster, and the moderator/handlers who control him (and who also write jackass respones like this :-D )

or

B) Football Leftovers - If you phrase the question enough to warrant a discussion, maybe the thread will be spared. Make it something that everyone can participate it. Definitely don't use the phrase "Who should I pick?"

is it A or B

I would say Portis is the much safer pick.

This year is the test for Julius Jones, he is expected to take a ton of carries in just about every game this year and we will see how durable he really is. Portis is more proven and we already know that he can handle the workload and he even looks better in the 2nd half of the year so he will help big time if your team is in playoff contention. Julius Jones doesnt always stay healthy and even missed time last season, I took Portis in round 1 with the 8th pick in my fantasy league, I expect #1 running back #'s out of him.

Go with Portis.

I did too...I'm higher on JJ than Portis. And I still believe Washington will be playing catchup in the majority of their games.

The irony in all of this is, Portis' "bust" year still produced 40 receptions, 1550 total yds, & 8 TD's (5 rush, 2 Rec, 1 Pass). Anyone who produces those kind of numbers on a subpar year, should not be forgotten come draft time.

I was lucky enough to draft Portis with my 2nd pick on a 12 man snake, meaning he was pick 24. I think he was the biggest steal of the draft.

The guy is an absolute monster. I cannot believe that he put on that much muscle and is still as fast as he is.

As far as talent goes of JJ vs. Portis, Portis wins by a landslide.
