i draft in 1 hour. I like KJ, but has anyone heard anything else on him limping off the field the other night. ?

Sep 2 Lions' running back Kevin Jones has not practiced this week because of a minor ankle injury. The Detroit Free Press reports that Jones might not play in the team's preseason finale against the Bills on Friday night, but if this were the regular season he would play.

Views: This should not be too much of a concern to fantasy owners even though Jones was bothered by an ankle injury the first half of last year. It seems this might be more of an excuse to hold him out of a meaningless game and just get him ready and rested for week one.

I don't think there's anything to worry about his injury but the Lions horrible O-line, QB, and defensive play make me think he's somewhat overvalued. I'd probably draft a guy like Rudi Johnson ahead of him.

i'm a big believer in jones and i watched A LOT of his games when he was at tech. i got him in my league, and while i understand all of the rants and raves about how bad certain parts of that team are...it really isn't that much worse than last year. i will admit, though, that i didn't see any great flashes from him in preseason...so i am slightly concerned. over time, though, i believe he'll perform well and will actually end the season in or just near the top 10 for RB's.

Interesting, I stayed clear of KJ in ALL my drafts this year (7). I just dont like that O-Line....looks horrible IMO which translates into less RB production. I'd rather have a Julius instead.

I wasn't expecting KJones to drop to the 3rd round in my draft. Had to take him. I had him last season when he got hot towards the end and am happy to have him on my team again. That said, I probably wouldn't take him until the second half of the second round, at the earliest. His ADP is pretty high at around 10 - 12 IMO.

He could easily become a top 5 back though if Detroit clicks early in the season. That offense has amazing potential, but still hasn't shown it's capable of reaching that level.
