I always stay away from Vick, Brooks and Plummer. Just way to inconsistent and Vick can't pass.

"One man's garbage is another man's treasure"

Or something like that. It's no co-incidence that a lot of these guys are on everybody's sleeper lists. It happens every year, when guys are coming off of an off year and get drafted much later than they should.

I have a hard time taking guys on teams I dislike - I find it hard to root for a guy when what I really want is for his team to crash and burn.

Unfortunately there are a number of teams I dislike so it makes it tough to stick to this premise and still win - but it worked last year so who knows? :-?

TO. Because of what he did to the star.

Vick because he is just another Kordell Stewart, but a little better.

The TO part I can understand coming from a cowboys' fan.

But I know Kordell Stewart and Vick is no Kordell Stewart.

I agree, the Vick oucast vote is purely from a fantasy point. The To is not based on fantasy of course. He is good but I will not draft him.

Staying far from Favre?

Postby Confucian Scholars » Tue Sep 06, 2005 3:31 am

In my 5 years of fantasy football I have never drafted Brett Favre, not even as a back-up.
It's not because I dislike him, but in almost every league there seems to be that one cheesehead Packer fan that always takes Favre in the second or third round.
Using draft logic, Favre should be available in later rounds but somebody in every single league I've ever been in always takes him early.
He's just never around when I'm choosing QBs. Ever. I'm really getting tired of being stuck with Pennington and the 2 Jakes (Delhomme and Plummer). Chad Pennington is always lurking at the top of the queue when it's time for my 2nd QB, but I don't dare take somebody lower like Byron Leftwich or Brian Griese.

I'm a Jets fan and I still say Griese is a better pick than Chad this year - his arm is still not right no matter what he says and Griese is looking good down in Tampa. Not to mention that the Bucs D is now worse than the Jets D so the Bucs will end up in more shootouts than they used to...
