How's this line?

Postby Len351 » Mon Aug 19, 2002 10:12 pm

Active (for now)
QB - Drew Bledsoe
RB - Ricky Williams
RB - Anthony Thomas
WR - Tory Holt
WR - Joe Horn
WR - Jerry Rice
TE - Frank Wycheck
K - Paul Edinger
D - Chicago

Reserves
QB - Kordell Stewart
RB - James Allen
RB - Ron Dayne
WR - Johnnie Morton
WR - Bill Schroeder
TE - Todd Heap
K - Joe Nedney
D - Saints

I'm not sure if I should bench Rice and start either Morton or Schroeder. I think Schroeder's may have a better year than Rice and Morton.
I was also thinking of dumping Ron Dayne. He was my last RB pick and then I recently noticed that Larry Centers is available. I think Centers will get more points than Dayne because of Barber.
Let me know what you guys think.

Keep Rice in there for now. He always comes in every year in better shape than the rest of the league. Therefore, he should be putting up optimal numbers right away, while other receivers will still be warming up. In addition, Morton still needs to develop a repoire with Green before he'll be effective. After a couple of weeks, then I'd think about benching him for Morton.

Keep Dayne. I'm still not convinced that Barber can take the beatings of an entire season. Plus, Centers is getting old. His carries are negligible. His catches will most likely drop with the addition of Bledsoe.

Otherwise, your team looks really solid. I'd be happy with that lineup.

Your team looks very good, especially your WRs, maybe you can or even have to trade one of them for an upgrade at QB if Bledsoe doesn't deliver...

Also, pay attention to Todd Heap, he may outperform Wycheck as the season progresses. By midseason he may be your better TE if not sooner.

I would definately make the Larry Centers pickup for Ron Dayne.Dayne's yardage and playing time are hurt majorly by Barber.Dayne was used mostly in goal line situations last year and this year he will be solely used for this purpose. If TD's count for alot,Dayne is more valuable. But Centers has the best RB hands in the NFL and will pick up lots of receiving yards,as well as picking up a few rushing yards here and there.
