Cell phone problem

Okay guys, I got a new cell phone today. An LG w/ Verizon. I charge it today and test out manner mode and lock mode. Manner mode works fine, but I locked the thing. In the manual it says that the password is "0000" but it doesn't work. So basically I can only call 911 on the phone. I'm bringing it back tommorrow, but I was wondering if any of you guys knew anything about this, or how to fix it. Sure, call me stupid, but it was the phone, not me. Also, I'm guessing that warranty would cover this?? Do you guys know? It says in the manual that it is under warranty if it screwed up during normal use, and I guess it was. The only thing is that I took the battery out and put it back in to see if it would unlock and it didn't. Hopefully that is "Normal Use."

Crap like that happens all the time with new phones and other hi tech gadgets.

Im surprised the 0000 didnt work. I think youre stuck with taking it back.

Beyond that, I don't know what to say, man. Hopefully the tech at the store will be able to help you, so you won't have to exchange it.

Try the last 4 digits of your cell phone number, or the last 4 of the primary users social security #. I had one years ago that i had to use the last 4 of my cell # to unlock it.

Yeah, I took it back today and they said that it's the last 4 digits of your phone number, 5642 for me. They said it is "0000" until the phone gets a user and a number. The dang thing should be in the manual.

At least I got it unlocked!
