Read that he went off tonight with an ankle injury.

Anyone know how serious it is ? I draft one of my leagues tomorrow (Saturday) and C-J is up there on my WR list.

on nfl.com it says it's a sprained left ankle. so it's good that it sounds relatively minor. im shallow enough at wr as it is, so i cant have him going out for long...

well, I think you can take the lack of news as good news. WIth no news on him, it MUST be minor. I wouldn't re-rank him because of this.

In his post-game press conference, Cincinnati Bengals HC Marvin Lewis said WR Chad Johnson (ankle) is questionable to play in next week's season opener. Johnson is listed as "day-to-day."

I heard that it is a minor injury and that they expect him to start against the Broncos. I don’t recall where I heard this, though.

I remember a couple years ago when Bill Schroeder (as a Packer) "sprained an ankle" and he was out for 4-5 weeks. He also was supposed too miss just one game.

Until you see Chad step on the field...don't assume anything. I have him in one of my leagues and I am a bit concerned.

Johnson has been upgraded to probable as of the 30th. I think this injury is just one of those that is creating rumors only because there's really nothing much to talk about. If it happened during the season, I'd see Johnson playing. Of course, the best advice is to wait until Wednesday or Thursday (depending on when your roster locks) and see if there's any late news, but for now I'd pencil him in as starter, and certainly not drop him in a draft.
