Who's #2 in Minnesota?

Postby SharkAttack » Tue Sep 06, 2005 8:35 pm

Who is going to be the #2 in Minnesota?

I think that Troy Williamson is going to eventually take the job - but in the meanwhile who's the man?

I fully expect Travis Taylor to keep it through the season, barring injury. I have a guy feeling everyone is about to see what this guy is capable of with a real QB.

Having watched all of the preseason games and seen the reports from camp in the StarTrib, it's gonna be Travis Taylor. He's a nice threat opposite Nate and can stretch the field when needed.

Troy has not looked good in preseason and in camp. He's caught a few long balls against second and third string defenders in preseason but has dropped just as many. In camp there was talk even amond the coaches that we should have take Mike Williams instead. His hands are a major problem right now.

As far as Koren Robinson, I see no way that he'll be the number two WR any time soon. At this point he's still burried under the rest of the WRs on our roster. There's no way Tice will let the guy come in and start two weeks later. He'll have to fight his way into the starting linup, and that would involve him catching some balls, which isn't going to happen.

I also like Taylor for the #2 job. I think Williamson and Robinson will fight for the #4 spot

I know that Taylor has had a strong pre-season - but season is almost here and he has't been named as the #2. So does that mean by default that Marcus Robinson is the #2? And if they were so strong @ WR why go waste a precious roster spot on a looser like Koren? That says something about all of them. Maybe they are not happy with any of them? And why so late - is there an injury I'm not aware of?

#4? Eh I think Robison will take 3 or 4 if Williamson steps up. Also, as of now it's Robison. ;-D
Keep it lit.
