Five Simple Rules for Fantasy Etiquette

Ever wondered about the proper etiquette when playing in a fantasy football league? Ever been annoyed by owners who seem to have absolutely no sense of that etiquette? In that case, the latest article is for you: new writer Jeff Valois offers five simple rules that everyone who plays the game ought to take to heart.

Welcome to the Cafe, Jeff! ;-D

I'd like to add that nothing ruins a good league faster for me than petty name calling. I like a good trash talk as do most players, but when you get players exchanging real and totally inappropriate insults, checking on the team suddenly shifts down my priority list.

Keep it clean.

Excellent article and exactly states what we should all know.

Good sportsmanship is taught and talked about in real sports and it's principles and ethics should even be applied here, even though this isn't a real "sport".

Good article Jeff!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Pawn, I totally agree with you there. I like Yahoo's new "Smack Talk" feature...it definitely makes the league more fun except when people take the friendly jabs personally. Every league has one of those guys. Unfortunately, in my league it's the guy who dropped Jackson for Hakim. We gave him some jabs about it, and he responded with some things that I probably can't post here. Really takes the fun out of it.

Here's a question:

Is it unethical to change your team name more than once throughout the Fantasy Season.

I would appreciate all comments.
