Troupe is gonna shine, I have him in my leagues, and I suggest you give it a shot if you can. He is a great athlete, and combine it with the offensive play calling and you get a great combo.

Of course I am a homer........ :-b

Troupe has talent, and the Titans will suck overall. So maybe. Bad teams often create great TEs.

Two things about this thread so far:

1. There are too many weapons for the Titans for Troupe to be "the sleeper of the year". Troupe will be extremely up and down.

2. The Titans will not suck. The media is way off on this one. I will do a paperbag challenge with anyone who thinks the Titans will win less than 6 games.

A team that wins 6 games still sucks.

He's right... 6 games is weak. That was really funny.

Also, Wycheck was leading reciever for a long time in TN, and all the "weapons" you speak of are not proven or safe. In my opinion Troupe is in for a big year.

My point is not that they'll win six games, it's that the media has them pegged for 4-5 wins and possibly the worst team in the conference. I think they'll win 8 or 9.

What weapons are these?

1) Running game is very solid with two starting caliber backs. Running behind an O-line that is terrible. That means pass.

2) Mason is gone. Bennett will be no.1 and is definitely not going to do as well with McNair as he did with Volek. Nobody puts up those kind of numbers over a whole season with a different qb. and in their first year as a no. 1 receiver. Calico is so injury prone. The rookies are a small plus.

3) the defense is terrible. One of the worst. That means pass.

In my opinion just because there are great weapons doesn't mean that they will be utilized. many players go underutilized until they switch teams and seem to come out of nowhere. Troupe has some competition at TE, but he is the better athlete and receiver and should be capable of a nice statline. My attack on the titans was mostly because a titans fan named their player as sleeper of the year.

Scoop on Troupe just poop?

I haven't seen anybody in this thread mention the Erron Kinney factor. He's still there, isn't he? I see Troupe as a possible late season bloomer as he's coming off an injury, but I'm also wary of shared tight end duties like the situation in Seattle with Mili/Stevens.
I prefer to have a tight end who is THE MAN with no sidekick.
Witten, Franks, Crumpler, Pollard, and Shockey are good examples in addition to Heap, Gonzales and Gates.
